❓❗ How do I care for my carnivorous plants in winter dormancy?

Owner from Cultivo Carnivores in front of healthy Venus flytraps – expert in carnivorous plant winter dormancy care South Africa

💬 Most temperate carnivorous plants — like Venus flytraps, trumpet pitchers, purple pitchers, and some sundews — go into winter dormancy from late autumn through winter in South Africa.  This is a natural resting phase where growth slows or stops, triggered by shorter days and cooler temps. Some plants lose their leaves or die back to a bulb or crown — completely normal!
