💬 Most temperate carnivorous plants — like Venus flytraps, trumpet pitchers, purple pitchers, and some sundews — go into winter dormancy from late autumn through winter in South Africa. This is a natural resting phase where growth slows or stops, triggered by shorter days and cooler temps. Some plants lose their leaves or die back to a bulb or crown — completely normal!
So this year I’ve created a handy Winter Cheat Sheet for you that covers:
- Who goes dormant (and who doesn’t)
- What to expect from your plants
- Do’s and don’ts for winter care
- When to divide or repot
💡 It's a free download — perfect for your phone or tablet — and you're welcome to pass it along to anyone feeling unsure about what to expect this winter. We've all been there.
